Tripp York

Tripp York is a Mennonite theologian who teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Elon University, in Elon, NC. He was raised in the Nazarene Church and joined the Mennonite Church after his college graduation. He received his Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary (2006), M.T.S from Duke University (2000), and B.A. from Trevecca Nazarene University (1998). His writings primarily deal with Christian ethics and theological politics. Given his anarchist leanings his work tends to place him outside either liberal or conservative positions. York is a proponent of the Radical Orthodoxy movement, post-liberal theology, and is a contributor to the Polyglossia Radical Reformation series.
York is also an actor, a lighting designer for the Paramount Theatre in Burlington, NC, and publishes in the realm of fiction.
