Why God allowed the Fall
There is something wrong with this description here as stated: "Without the Fall we should have known nothing of the Cross and the Gospel." This is the nearly the same thing as saying that our Trinue God needed evil to show that He is holy/merciful, which isn't true. God's purpose was not to show man mercy but to show man the greatest love and that is given man free will. If man did not give to the fall, God's plan would not have changed and man's free will would be honored. However, due to the fall, free will is twisted and can never be used to please God. All in All, God's mercy was a byproduct of God's true purpose and it should not be considered a reason why God permitted evil. — unsigned comment by 65.32.95.240 (talk • contribs)
