Talk:Salvation

I personally do not find that quote to have much to do with "salvation". It is implicitly related, only because exclusivism, pluralism, and inclusivism have to do with how one views who will be saved in the end, but this seems to be a side-issue. What I'm thinking should be described is how one get's salvation, and what they are getting. Then briefly discuss other aspects of salvation (i.e. justification, sanctification, glorification). From there, conversion should be described, as well as the eschatological aspect of salvation (not just glorification) that the NT portrays. Links can be given to the main pages for things like justification and sanctification, where from there the views and other aspects can be described. Hopefully I'm making sense with this thought-flow. What do you guys think?

Laslty, the link to the quote is broken and I cannot find it. JordanBarrett 16:37, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Word. Sounds good. Btw: notice how I used "you" language. I think we should be willing to write like this in Theopedia, contra most other dry 'pedias. Thoughts? -Aaronshaf 16:54, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)
Absolutely love it. Nice work on the article. What do you guys think about removing part of the huge list of "see also" since some of them are placed underneath other headings? JordanBarrett 18:14, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)
Yeah, the long list is unsightly. -Aaronshaf 23:56, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)

The goal of salvation

It'd be need to have an ending section called something like "The goal of salvation." "We shall see him as he is." For the diplay of his glory. For our happiness. Etc. Thoughts on the section name, content? -Aaronshaf 13:04, 8 February 2006 (EST)

I like the section as "results" rather than "goal", although I could go either way. The content could be endless, but could focus on some major themes - one's you've already stated. JordanBarrett (talk) 14:37, 8 February 2006 (EST)

The law of God

I'm wondering if we need a question for the law of God that would naturally precede and give some more meaning to "man's condition". -Aaronshaf 19:21, 13 February 2006 (EST)

Sounds good to me. I think though, that if you're going to take this on that ample time needs to be given to make it clear. The topic of law and salvation can easily get jumbled, confusing, and/or lengthy. Just a few thoughts. JordanBarrett (talk) 19:38, 13 February 2006 (EST)

Man's condition section

It would be great to either make a note that Romans is being used as an example/test-case or to rework the section and not be so selective. Jordan Barrett (talk) 00:26, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
