Talk:Protestant Reformation
From Theopedia
If this site is going to be from a Reformed perpective, I really think this page should be of a little more importance. Just a thought. JordanBarrett 00:28, 12 Oct 2005 (EDT)
Zwingli
Jordan, sorry to have caused problems by using the first name Huldreich instead of Ulrich. Actually Ulrich is probably the more common form in English. However, Huldreich agrees with Wikipedia and the Columbia Encyclopedia. Huldrych is another form I've seen. :-) Gomarus 14:02, 13 Oct 2005 (EDT)
- No reason to apologize. I had kept seeing it as "Huldreich" and here and there saw it as Ulrich, so I decided to move the page. No big deal at all. Nice work on this article - it looks great! JordanBarrett 14:30, 13 Oct 2005 (EDT)
Anglican Church as part of the Reformation?
While the schism between Rome and Henry the VII (1533) was after Luther's posting of the 95 Theses (1517), since it was driven by Henry's thirst for a male heir should it be included in the list of denominations without such a disclaimer? Not sure about this, so I figured I would put it out for discussion before editing. blundin 02:18, 15 July 2006 (PDT)
Some Corrections.
I corrected some common misconceptions about the Catholic Church and replace the word "Romanism" as this is a perjorative term and not technically correct.
