Talk:Monotheism
From Theopedia
I got rid of the definition of "theism" that it means "belief in a personal God". The reason being is that theism does not imply that God is personal (neither does it imply that he is impersonal). One can use arguments for the existence of God, but some of them simply show that God exists and goes no further. One can prove theism without proving the personal nature of the God of the Bible. Maybe I'm splitting hairs, but I also want to be careful not to throw our own definitions on a word that doesn't quite convey what we want it to. - JordanBarrett 16:00, 8 Aug 2005
Monotheism of Christ?
I'm not sure I get "monotheism of Christ". If we're going to term it that way, I'd rather use "biblical monotheism" or "monotheism of the Bible" or something of that sort. JordanBarrett (talk) 17:11, 1 June 2006 (PDT)
