Criticism about the critical arguments
The arguments against are so poor I'm almost tempted to remove them. They're phrased in such a way that they're going to strike doubt as it is in an unsuspecting layperson. JordanBarrett (talk) 01:51, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Jordan, your argument for the arguments being poor is worse. You don't just go around deleting arguments because you think they are phrased poorly. You improve them or you refute them. - R HokieRNB 13:53, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- For one, the above wasn't intended to be an argument. Two, I couldn't even think of a way to phrase them so that they'd sound better - if you can, be my guest. Three, and again (and in different words), I think they're so bad and misleading that I'd rather remove them and come up with some better counter-arguments. I'd never stoop so low to simply delete arguments I found to be bad. However, if I find them unhelpful and misleading, and no one else can think of a better replacement, I will consider removing such arguments. That's why I didn't delete them and offered my comment. I hope this makes more sense. JordanBarrett (talk) 17:13, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I guess what I'm asking is for you to articulate what is bad about them, rather than merely to state arbitrarily "these are bad arguments". - R HokieRNB 17:18, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll try and do that in the next few days. Despite it being Thanksgiving, I'm slammed with papers and thus research. To clarify, perhaps what I found to be "bad arguments" wasn't as much common sense as I thought. JordanBarrett (talk) 04:53, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
