[edit] Improving References
I'm looking for some assistance on improving the way the references in this material. Where the article borrows from other authors' thoughts, I've cited the last name and year (and page number for direct quotes), and I've listed the references cited in a section at the end alphabetically. Is there a way to magically link these? HokieRNB 17:35, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Russell, take a look at Jonathan Edwards (in the page edit mode) to see how References can be added. They are entered once in the text -- with <ref></ref> brackets and appear automatically numbered (in the sequence thay are entered) in the section provided. I see these the same as footnotes, which should include a page number when possible. We have not been consistent -- some pages call them "Footnotes" and some "References." General Reference material should be listed under "Resources." Gomarus 17:44, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Formatting
Russell, this page is looking nice. Great job! In general we look for an introductory statement or short paragraph at the top of the page with the page title restated in Bold. See other pages for examples. Thanks, Jim, . . . Gomarus 01:18, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
