Aaron, in making section titles of each Sola, you ommitted the individual page links. Did you intend this?? Gomarus 14:38, 22 Sep 2005 (EDT)

History of slogans
Does anyone have any information about how or where these slogans came about? Raymond Rishty 00:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I searched a little on the internet trying to answer this question, but came up essentially empty. There is some historical background for Sola Fide and Martin Luther. There are early references to Sola Scriptura during the Reformation. But when and how the "Five" came together is not clear. If you find something, it would be good to add in this article. - I did a search through all of Schaff's History of the Christian Church. The only of the five solas I was able to find was Sola Fide; in his usage, it is always in footnotes and never as a slogan. I did find the earliest usage he cited was from Thomas Aquinas. I'll keep looking though.Raymond Rishty 14:52, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
