The Presbyterian Church (USA) is the largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. The denomination has over 11,000 congregations which are organized into 173 presbyteries (district governing bodies) and 16 synods (regional governing bodies). Further the church is in full communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Reformed Church in America, and the United Church of Christ. Further it is an active member in the World Council of Churches
