Methodism is a Christian movement founded by John Wesley in 18th century Britain. Largely (but not exclusively) Arminian, it exists all over the world today. The United Methodist Church, the largest Methodist denomination, is the third largest denomination in the United States (after the Roman Catholics and Southern Baptists).
