[edit] Welcome to Theopedia

Welcome to Theopedia, the open-content, user-edited theological encyclopedia of biblical Christianity. Here you will find (a growing number of) well-written articles regarding all aspects of Christianity and theology.

[edit] Getting Started

If you click on the link to the Main Page on the left, you'll see three major points of interest. The "Featured articles" is a quick blurb from the current articles of interest. The "Featured theologian" is a reference to theologians from today or within church history. The hope is that it will draw attention to names people may never have heard of, and will spark further interest to study their lives and understand the investments they have made to theology and the Church. "Did You Know" contains a few quick facts that may be interesting. The "Featured passage" is either one that has significant commentary and external links associated with it, or one that is listed to edify the one who reads it.

[edit] Editing/Adding Information

See the page on How to contribute to get started. To edit a topic that does not yet exist, simply click the red link and you will be brought to the edit page. To edit an existing page, click on the tab in the top of the screen, and you will be brought to the edit page with the existing contents already in place. Note: An article may have a blue link (indicating it has text) but be considered an incomplete article. Adding information to stubs is vital.

Remember, the best way to contribute to Theopedia is providing thoughtful, well-written articles. Jotting down stubs is acceptible as long as you provide "External links" so that someone can learn something if they go to that article. But, the best way to write an article is with plenty of time and only when you have a good grasp of the topic at hand, that is, you could explain the basics of the topic without constantly referring to a textbook or other primary sources of information.
