Add a subcategory

How do we add "Evangelists" as a Biographies subcategory here? Gomarus 06:02, 23 July 2006 (PDT)

Done. I just added this category to the Evangelists category, hence, making it a sub-cat of this one. JordanBarrett (talk) 08:10, 23 July 2006 (PDT)

Women category

Seeing 99% males listed here disgusts me. I think it would be valuable to have a Category:Women that can be a subcategory of Biographies. I can spearhead this by adding people like Beth Moore (I guess she'd go under Authors), Annie Armstrong, and Lottie Moon; should missionaries be considered evangelists? Women can also belong to the other categories here. Speaking of women, should we add a Feminists category for people like A. J. Levine (she's a Jewish NT scholar)? — unsigned comment by RockOfVictory (talkcontribs)

A lot of it depends on how many and what kind of people we want on here. I'm sorry you're disgusted, but welcome to the world of theology. True, it's hard for women to be respected, hold big posts at big universities, etc... however, I want to guard theopedia against the whole femenist movement where we begin to hold female theologians highly simply because they're women. There is a reality that women don't get respect and yet another where not many women want to do theology in the academic sense (not implying that theopedia is purely academic either). Anyways, I don't think anyone here would object to adding women, but I don't think they should have their own category. Let them stand next to the men. Help with placement

Is there a way to move the resources section below the sub-category one? JordanBarrett (talk) 03:12, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
